Directors
Hobson & Porter has board directors representing all key areas of the business at both office and site level. They have all worked for the company for many years, and have been trained and promoted from within. The board of directors undertakes regular reviews of our strategic business plan to ensure that our resources and procedures reflect the changing needs of our customers.
Major Works
Our Major Works Division undertakes most of our new build and high value projects. The division is led by Managing Director David Watson, and has dedicated teams of estimators, buyers, contracts managers, quantity surveyors, and design & build / project managers. We also employ full time staff dedicated to quality, health & safety and continuous improvement.
Minor Works
Our Minor Works team is led by Dave Blades and is vastly experienced in the delivery of housing, education and general refurbishment projects. The team is well represented at board level, with three directors actively involved at office and site level. The Minor Works Division operates well established teams of skilled tradespeople and operatives who have worked with us for many years.
Customer Care
The Customer Care team provides administrative support to the contracts managers, and ensures that defects enquiries are dealt with promptly and efficiently. In addition to our office based staff we employ two full time site based customer care managers.
Support Staff
Hobson & Porter’s administrative and support staff provide vital assistance to all areas of the business. We employ a full time human resources manager, and our dedicated accounts team ensures that we maintain our reputation for prompt payment of supply chain partners. The administration department is overseen by board director Jacquie Blades.
