Big shovel to CATCH a big job

Hobson & Porter unveiled the lastest big addition to the team at the ground breaking ceremony for the next phase of the CATCH facility in Grimsby. The 3.75m long replica shovel has been brought in for events such as these, and makes a refreshing change from the usual ceremonial spades used at Groundbreaking ceremonies.

The project itself, the construction of new training facilities for the Centre for Assessment of Technical Competency Humber is the next phase in a significant expansion and investment of the project, which provides training to the Oil and Gas industries.

Hobson & Porter Construction Director Mark Tomlinson said "We are delighted to get this project going and look forward to working with CATCH to deliver an industry leading facility"

Jason Papprill, Hobson & Porter Managing Director added "We are pleased to show off our new addition, the Hobson & Porter shovel, making its first appearance at CATCH. It mirrors the companies ambitions moving forward from the difficult times recently fealt within the industry, and shows our big plans for the future!"
