Hull Civic Society has awarded a Good Mark to the recently completed Hull Community Church at the corner of Cottingham Road and Newland Avenue

Designed to the most eco-friendly standards, with solar panels and energy saving features, this modern church looks more like a sports centre than a trditional church, but sport is just one of many public activities offered during the week to those who live in the neighbourhood. The Good Mark was awarded to Hull Community Church, the main contractor Hobson & Porter and the architects Gelder & Kitchen, for a modern building of a high standard, well suited to improving the quality of life of the city which Hull Community Church aims to serve.
